Boy, do I have a story for you!

Let me introduce myself first. My name is Muffin (yes, probably because I’m that sweet 😌)! I’m an 8-year-old Maltese mix and I’m the kind of story that reminds people why they love rescue. 💗

I am:
✅ House, crate & leash-trained (although I prefer a pen & do best with potty breaks on a schedule)
✅ Good with dogs
✅ Good with cats
🚫 No kids (man, do they move fast!)

I was brought into a high-kill shelter in South Carolina. Once they discovered I’m mostly blind AND deaf (don’t ask me how I’m writing this 😂), I was only given 3 days before I would have been euthanized.

But this is where my story took a happy turn!

My amazing foster swooped in and SAVED me! Once I arrived in Pennsylvania, it was her mission to fatten me up. I weighed only 9 lbs! I’m happy to say I’ve gained a couple…I mean, the snacks this lady gives me are chef’s kiss. 👌

I do have early kidney disease, so I need a home willing to manage it with vet visits & prescription medicine. I also have dry eyes and need daily drops. Hey, we all have something!

I’m looking really good (if I do say so myself 😏), but sometimes the inner work is tougher. You humans can only guess what I’ve been through. A senior lady on the streets sounds like a comedy movie 🎬 but it was more like a horror movie for me…

I’m wary of those of you on two legs. I’ve seen some things, and as my hearing and vision worsen, people are a little more intimidating. But that doesn’t mean I’m not a wonderful companion!

I’m VERY low-key. Give me a pen or special couch cushion and I’m happy as a clam. I don’t need tons of exercise or a big fuss. I just want to curl up near you while you work or read a book.

It makes my foster mom sad that I haven’t had ANY interest. All I want is a quiet home and a soft place to land. I may need a little more medical care, but most dogs do as they age. That puppy you’re eyeing will be there someday!

So please consider giving me my ending. I’m a Cinderella story 👑 and I’m waiting for my forever home.

I want to be where....YOU are! 🧡

Hi, I’m Tigress! 🐯 I’m a 1-year-old Great Dane/Anatolian Shepherd mix. I weigh 91 pounds, which basically just means I’m a whole lot of silly wrapped up in one BIG dog! 😂

I am:

✅ Crate & house-trained

✅ Good with dogs

✅ Good with kids

I want to be where the people are. In the room? I’m there. Outside? Count me in. You moved to the other side of the house? Well… obviously I’m coming with you. 👀

People are my favorite. I’m super sweet, loving, and happiest when I can hang out with my humans. I like my four-legged friends too, I just tend to choose people over pups when given the choice. You all are a very interesting species...🤔

I have medium energy, which means I LOVE getting my zoomies out… but once I’ve gotten that out of my system, I’m perfectly happy to find a comfy spot and take a good snooze. 😴

I’d love a home with a yard where I can stretch my fabulous long legs. Fenced-in would be ideal, but my fosters say they’re willing to consider all options for the right family! 🏡

Breed experience would be a plus too, but it’s not a must. I’m a pretty easy-going dog so a personality match is more important!

Just a few weeks ago, thanks to your incredible generosity, you sent us a mountain of paper towels. We truly thought we’d be stocked for quite a while.

Well… between cleaning puppy messes, muddy paws, food prep, sanitizing kennels, and caring for dozens of rescue dogs every single day… we’re already almost out! ❤️
