April is sexual assault awareness month, a time when we intentionally bring focus to an issue that victimizes over 400,000 people a year. POP stands firmly in solidarity with survivors, this month and always.

On April 2 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM in room 125, the Protective Order Project is hosting a Special Victims Panel featuring professionals who work closely with survivors of domestic violence and related harms. Panelists include Jessi Hollingsworth (Domestic Violence Victim Advocate), Sally Thomas (Director of Victim Resources at Indiana University), Maryann Williams (Faculty Director of the Protective Order Project), and Raeanna Moore (Monroe County Deputy Prosecutor). The panel will bring together legal and allied professionals to discuss their work supporting survivors, navigating the legal system, and building careers in special victims’ services. This will be 1 POP point.
