We specialize in Orthopedic Account Receivable Recovery and Orthopedic Billing Services. Let us help get that old A/R....
Many healthcare providers are asking the same question right now: Is it time to step away from corporate medicine and return to private practice?
For many clinicians, the idea of regaining autonomy, improving patient relationships, and building a practice aligned with their values is incredibly appealing. But one common and costly misconception often appears during this transition.
Payer contracts do not automatically transfer from one business entity to another.
If you are leaving a corporate group and forming your own practice, your existing payer relationships typically cannot simply follow you. Insurance contracts are tied to the specific legal entity, tax ID, and credentialing structure of the organization that originally established them. When you launch a new practice, those agreements often need to be re-established, renegotiated, and credentialed correctly under the new entity.
Failing to plan for this step can lead to delayed reimbursements, out-of-network status, and unexpected revenue gaps during the early stages of your practice.
That’s where the right administrative support becomes critical.
At MedPro Services, we specialize in helping providers successfully transition into private practice with a complete billing and administrative infrastructure designed for long-term success. Our team can help you prepare for the move by:
• Establishing your business and individual NPIs
• Credentialing providers with commercial and government payers
• Managing payer contracting and negotiations
• Setting up billing and revenue cycle processes
• Ensuring your administrative systems are built correctly from day one
Moving from corporate medicine to private practice is a major professional step—but with the right preparation and support, it can also be one of the most rewarding decisions you make.
If you are considering making the transition, MedPro Services is here to help you build the administrative foundation your practice needs to thrive.
Let’s start the conversation.
MedPro celebrated 23 years in business in October. Thanks to all our wonderful clients and employees that made this possible
The Most Common Errors in Orthopedic Billing:
1. Incomplete or Inaccurate Patient Insurance Information
2. Failure to obtain Preauthorization or Failure to include all relevant CPT codes for upcoming procedures.
3. Incorrect Billing: Using anatomical CPT and ICD10 mismatched codes, incorrect or missing modifiers, or incorrect units.
4. Incomplete Coding: Ensure all procedures are coded by reading the entire Operative Report.
5. Unbundling: Modifier 59 can unbundle procedures supported by the operative report.
6. Documentation Support: Providers must detail each procedure to support CPT code usage.
7. Denied Claims for "Not Medically Necessary": Crosswalk CPT and ICD10 codes for accurate coding.
What exciting news. MedPro Services is proud to be a part of her move and continues to provide exceptional coding and billing services.
