Earth Kin’s annual Samhain ritual was originally scheduled for October 28, but, like Lughnasadh, I am quite unfortunately having to cancel. A significant health situation in my family has required my attention and interupted normal life. It looks like this may be a longterm situation, so I’m taking time to consider how to best move forward so we can continue to offer rituals on the cross quarters. I’ll update when I have a better sense of how things will look in the future.
In the meantime, wishing you a most blessed Samhain!

I’m sorry to report that unavoidable extenuating circumstances have reared their regrettable heads, and we need to cancel Earth Kin’s Lughnasadh ritual this time around. We’ll so miss celebrating the first harvest with you all...but we’ll be back for Samhain on Saturday, October 28, 7pm.

This show ("Finding Brigid"--click the RTE Player box thingie) is an absolutely brilliant and beautiful exploration of the figure of Brighid in her several guises over the centuries: goddess, real historical figure, and saint. That this female figure--the first in Ireland to have an official bank holiday, to be observed for the very first time ever next week, Monday 2/6--would speak to Christians and Pagans alike seems to point to a kind of unfolding of magic. (I have my thoughts about what the magic is working towards, but I'll leave you to your own speculations.)
Anyway, this lovely hour-long video is well worth your time!
