has become ground zero for the data center boom, but we're giving away the farm — often literally.

We should demand they be built sustainably and pay their fair share in taxes. Other places do it, and so can we. State Senate candidate Kate-Lynn Holley explains.

🌈Pride Month reminder:

LGBTQ+ teachers exist.

Gay teachers exist.
Trans teachers exist.
Nonbinary teachers exist.
Q***r teachers exist.

And they do not owe anyone silence, shame, invisibility, or some watered-down version of themselves to be “appropriate” around children.

Teachers are allowed to have spouses.
Teachers are allowed to have families.
Teachers are allowed to mention their lives the same way straight teachers do.
Teachers are allowed to exist without being accused of “indoctrination” for refusing to disappear.

Because here is the truth:

The people screaming about “protecting kids” are not protecting kids from harm.
👏🏻They are trying to protect bigotry from consequences.

-A straight teacher can mention her husband and nobody calls it grooming.

-A male teacher can talk about his wife and nobody accuses him of pushing sexuality.

But the second an LGBTQ+ teacher exists out loud, suddenly it is “political.”

NOPE.

✔️What is political is demanding that q***r people hide so other adults can feel comfortable.

✔️What is political is treating one kind of family as normal and another as dangerous.

✔️What is political is telling children that some of the adults who love, teach, protect, and show up for them every day are somehow inappropriate because of who they are.

Public schools belong to LGBTQ+ teachers too.

They belong in classrooms.
They belong in staff meetings.
They belong in unions.
They belong in school photos.
They belong at graduation.
They belong in every space where public education happens.

And no amount of manufactured panic changes that. 🤷‍♀️

🌈 Q***r teachers are not a threat.

Bigotry is.

State Senate candidate Kate-Lynn Holley expounds upon the multiple ways even partially legalizing cannabis in Indiana could benefit Hoosiers - from down payment assistance to reinvigorating family farms. Stop sending our money out of state.
