Grateful to have had the opportunity to paint this commission for my friend Bryan who is a warm and kind dude in addition to being phenomenally talented.
Thanks for the patience my friend, headed to the post office this week brother. Enjoy!

1967 Alfa Romeo Spider “Duetto” making me dream of Amalfi Coastal summer weekend drives with the top down. Another life in another time. It’s good to dream.

Our lives are marked by moments and encounters that change us. They focus and tear apart, they confuse and confirm. And they all work together creating our sense of self in this bizarre and brutal and beautiful world. Our cars bring us to these places and people that shape us and often get rooted in our souls like a scent or a song.
They’re rarely glamorous and it rarely ends well, but they were there for every moment, every adventure, every make up and breakup. Like this freshly sainted 2003 Saturn Ion.
Let these moments live so much closer to our hearts and our memories with each passing year.

There was a time before we were born. If someone asks, this is where I’ll be.

Do you remember feeling free in the breezy sunbeams?
That’s where we’ll meet.

Can I just say how grateful I am to be a working artist. It’s something I used to think about years ago. Nervous to try. Grateful to every person who commissions a portrait and every one who shares and likes and comments on my work. It humanizes the whole thing. And it really encourages me. Grateful. 🥹

Jersey Shore homes are just the chef’s kiss on a Jersey summer.
Proud to be back in my home state and proud to be painting for the locals.
New friends and old, we all have a few things in common. Where know where the best bagels are. We know which beach hits the spot. We call it Taylor Ham. And we love Sinatra even if we don’t.
Thanks for letting me paint something meaningful for you

It’s our 15th anniversary today so I figured I’d show my face again and introduce myself to the new followers.
I’m Jimmy, (and that’s Dani).
I’m currently 42 and living in NJ back in my hometown for the first time in a long time.
I’m a recovering Christian school and youth group kid who fell in love with punk rock and wanted to change the world.
After many years of pursuing other people’s vision for my life I slowly peeled back the layers and began actively remembering who I was as a child.
I played in the grass and looked at bugs and birds. Cloud shapes and flickers of light.
I loved feeling dizzy and disoriented.
I closed my eyes and experienced the world with my skin and my nose. Smelling everything and loving it deeply.
I also used to draw and paint all the time.
So I started doing that again.
And I haven’t stopped.
I’m still finding my way pullout of the primordial goo tbh but I’m remembering who I really am a little bit more every day.
I still sing and play guitar, though not with anyone at the moment. Hopefully someday. And I make watercolor portraits of things people love most for the public.
Tell me about yourselves. I love getting to know people.

Sometimes everything goes perfectly.
Sometimes in the middle of the night your cat eats a portrait that was wrapped and on your desk waiting to be mailed in the morning.
Nugget 2.0 (yes this is different from the other one) is wrapped AND shipped. 😅
No cats were harmed in the making of this portrait.
