I wish we were special but we just aren’t.
Everywhere you go, pole dancing has become a little safe space for people, humans coming together to love, to support, to live.

We were brought together through war, struggle, heartbreak, being lost, feeling powerless, unseen and mostly, not willing to settle.

And I wish we could say that it’s now, during scary and sad times, but the hard truth is, it’s been an always thing for us.
For those of us that lived being threatened, scared, trying to survive, trying to still be lovers in a world that just wants to use and abuse our bodies, our intellect, our heart.
For those of trying to live freely when the world around us is built on our a$$es and our silence and compliance, this is were we come to strip those limits.

It was only after years of dancing that I started to realize there is something about the stigma that is actually FREEING. It’s the cutest FU to all the things made for us to suffer that we alchemize to grace, power, and desperate desire.

So now, more than ever, wear that thong, bask in the color of your skin, post the fck.n flow, and let freedom and grace run so wild and so true, that shame fades into a distant memory.
