You probably remember our prior post about sweet Bootsie. She had been tied inside a barn that caught fire. Bootsie was able to get out alive only because her tether caught fire and burned apart.

Her healing has been a true “Animal Family” effort. Safe Pet Project has been covering the cost of her medical care and treatment by the wonderful folks at Nottely Oaks Animal Hospital. Our supporters have been praying for Bootsie and sending her thoughts of love and healing. This Animal Family has made an amazing difference! Bootsie’s 2nd degree burns are improving! She was surrendered and become part of "No Paws Left Behind"! Bootsie has now been adopted!

It’s hard to find the right words, but we know Bootsie has truly been blessed. We are so thankful!

When the owner of Thor and Apollo came to us asking for help in finding the perfect adoptive home for beautiful Thor and Apollo we were glad to help. The goal was to keep these brothers together if possible and find the ideal loving home they deserve.
We are happy to announce that this week our goal was accomplished.

Thor and Apollo want everyone to know they are so thankful for our Safe Pet Project volunteers and for their foster parents. They were both adopted into the same loving home and are beginning their lives with their new family.

Sammy is still looking for a furever home. He was a kitten we trapped as part of our TNR (Trap Neuter Release) program. After we took him to be neutered and then released him back to his colony he stayed on the porch of the landowner and let us pet him. That’s very rare for a feral kitten!

Understanding that sweet Sammy was asking for a new and different life, we took him to be examined, vaccinated and dewormed. He is now in one of our foster homes.

Ok friends. This is where you come in! Sammy is ready and waiting for his new permanent home so he can start a new life and share all the love he has to give. For information on adopting Sammy or to meet him call (706) 400-7076, extension 2.

Our son’s newest Miller design. Christmas T-shirt’s anyone?

Update: We talked with our friends at Safe Pet Project Thrift Store and we are doing these as long sleeve white t-shirts and they will be contacting "ThreadzInk Printing tomorrow (they did the original Miller for Mayor shirts and they were amazing!) to find out what the turnaround time will be.

We think these will make wonderful Christmas gifts and just like last time, ALL the proceeds will go directly to "Safe Pet Project to help with the animals in our area!! This not only helps Blairsville, but Hiawassee and the surrounding towns as well. If there is an animal in need, they do all they can to help!

Once the shirts arrive, we will let you know. Crossing our fingers that we can have them in time for the Christmas Parade in Downtown Blairsville!

Thank you for your support!!

Beautiful Joan sends a big "Thank You" to the Safe Pet Project family of supporters for the donations, prayers and love that helped her get through her medical crisis of a pr*****ed uterus. She had her surgery, spent the night at the animal hospital to be sure she was doing well and is now recovering at home with her new adoptive mom; Sophia.

Sophia is so thankful for all the support she received in saving her new baby. She once again said she wouldn’t have been able to afford Joan’s care without the safe Pet Project gang!
