The Appalachian Shrine Ladies are doing their annual drawing for their Summer Tailgate Package. Profits from this fundraiser go toward funding our scholarships for local graduating seniors. Because of this fundraiser and others, we were able to give out scholarships to 17 seniors from Union County HS, Towns County HS, and Woody Gap School this year!

The Appalachian Shrine Club will be on the square today from 10a-5p selling Jumbo hotdogs and hamburgers. We also have our filled Yeti Cooler that we will be giving away (not pictured: 2 tickets to Tracy Lawrence and some goodies from Grandaddy Mimms). Tickets are $5 or you can get five tickets from $20. Come by and see us!

We are a little behind getting this post out, but we want to say thank you to everyone who came out and supported us during our Pancake Breakfast. We had a great time seeing everyone and raising money for our graduating seniors!

We also held our Turkey *pew pew* giveaway. The winner was Robby Turner! Congratulations and thank you to everyone who supported this cause!

The Appalachian Shrine Ladies will be giving out scholarships to local graduating seniors again this year. Last year they were able to award nine graduating seniors with scholarships to help pay for college. These scholarships are available to graduating seniors that attend Union County High School, Towns County High School, Woody Gap School, and Mountain Education Charter High School.

If you know of any graduating seniors from one of these schools that would be interested in applying for a scholarship, please let them know. They can contact their school counselor for a copy of the scholarship application. Application deadline is May 1, 2024. Please encourage them to get their application in early!

Congratulations to the Class of 2024! Thank you to our community for making these scholarships possible through your generous donations throughout the year!

The Appalachian Shrine Ladies Annual Pancake Breakfast will be held Saturday, March 23 at the Appalachian Shrine Club from 7am-11am.

Tickets for the breakfast are $7.00. Also, tickets for the Wi******er (pictured below) are available for $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00 Drawing for the Wi******er will be held at the Pancake Breakfast.

Proceeds from the breakfast and drawing will go to scholarships to benefit local high school Seniors. Last year we were able to award 12 scholarships to Towns and Union Seniors. (You do not have to be present to win)

2024 marks the return of the World's Largest Shrine Circus held May 18-27, 2024 at Jim R. Miller Park in Marietta! This will be our 82nd year having this circus!

This annual fundraiser helps us to continue to be able to put this event on every year. If you would like to purchase a ticket, they are $20 each or 6 for $100. Each ticket gets you a chance to win 110 prizes. The prize list is attached below (most of the prizes go BANG). The grand prize this year is a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Double Cab! New this year is a chance at $10,000 cash!
