Across our offices, our teams continue to find ways to make a difference in the communities we call home.

Team members in our Birmingham and Denver offices recently packed backpacks for Ronald McDonald House families, helping provide support and comfort during challenging times. The Birmingham team also had the pleasure of meeting April Dickerson from Ronald McDonald House and learning more about the organization's impact on families during difficult circumstances. Additionally, our Denver team was able to tour the Ronald McDonald House, gaining an even greater appreciation for the care, resources, and sense of community provided to families when they need it most.

We're grateful for the opportunity to serve others and proud of the employees who make community involvement a priority.

Our offices will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth. We encourage our team members to take time to learn more about this event in our history, reflect, or attend a local event in their community.

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when the final enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth reminds us that freedom is more than the absence of barriers; it is the presence of opportunity, belonging, and the ability to fully participate in a community. At Capstone, our work is rooted in creating student housing communities that are safe, inclusive, and intentionally shaped around the students and campuses we serve.

Join us in welcoming Nick Martin, CPA as our new Chief Financial Officer. Nick joins Capstone at an important inflection point as we continue our leadership transition, scale our platform and continue growth alongside Lincoln. We are excited about the perspective and leadership Nick will bring as we continue building and enhancing thoughtfully and sustainably across our accounting, finance, technology, and operational infrastructure.

Recognizing the strength of our team and culture, the momentum of the business, and the opportunity to help shape Capstone’s next chapter, Nick’s extensive experience in student housing, finance, and operational management will be invaluable as we navigate this pivotal phase of growth.

He understands the priorities institutions value most and applies that perspective to offer solutions aligned with each institution’s strategic, financial, and student experience objectives.

Capstone is always proud to serve our community!

Last weekend, our Birmingham team partnered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace - Birmingham South, whose mission is simple but powerful: No kid sleeps on the floor in our town! With the help of local volunteers, we built 20 bunk beds and completed 5 additional beds for children in need. All our volunteers enjoyed a rewarding day of teamwork and service!
