6 Months Post-Op: Primary Rhinoplasty

This patient has thicker skin, which can often extend the healing process. Even so, she is healing beautifully and has followed our post-operative care and rhinoplasty skincare protocol with dedication, which makes all the difference.

Natural results are not about perfection, they are about improvement. They are about restoring structure, volume, and skin quality in a way that looks balanced and appropriate for the patient.

Most people assume the most difficult rhinoplasties are the ones with the most dramatic before and after transformations.

In reality, finesse rhinoplasty can be even more challenging.

When a nose is already attractive and well balanced, the goal isn't to transform it. The goal is to refine. Small changes to the bridge, tip, or profile must be executed with exceptional precision while preserving the natural character of the face.

The challenge is that there is very little margin for error. Tiny adjustments can have a significant impact on both appearance and function, and outcomes are often less predictable than larger reconstructive changes.

The smallest changes often require the highest level of expertise.

Would I recommend filler or surgery for this nose?

As a rhinoplasty surgeon, I don't believe every nose needs surgery.

In the right patient, filler can create meaningful improvement with just a few carefully placed injections.

But filler is not a replacement for rhinoplasty. It's simply a different tool designed to solve a different problem.

Not every nose needs surgery. Not every nose should be treated with filler.

The challenge is knowing which patients will benefit from filler and which patients need structural change that only surgery can provide.

This patient was an excellent candidate for filler rhinoplasty.

Choosing the right treatment is where experience matters.

This lovely patient had a primary rhinoplasty with another provider, which left her with a crooked nose and difficulty breathing. We not only restored function but also achieved a straighter, more refined appearance that perfectly fits her face.

Profile Enhancement at Raggio MD

This lovely patient is 2 months post-operative following her deep-plane neck lift, rhinoplasty, and chin augmentation with filler.

By thoughtfully combining structural refinement of the nose, improved neck contour, and subtle chin projection, we were able to create a more balanced and harmonious profile. Each procedure was selected to complement the others, enhancing proportion without overpowering her natural features.

At this stage, healing is still ongoing and tip refinement will continue in the months ahead, particularly with residual swelling from rhinoplasty. Even so, the improved definition along the jawline and the strengthened profile are already evident.

At four months post operative, this lovely patient is still in the early to mid phases of healing, with continued refinement expected over time. Even so, meaningful improvements are already evident with enhanced jawline and neck contour, elevated brow position, and restoration of facial volume. Skin quality has also been significantly improved through full face CO2 laser resurfacing.

The preservation extended deep plane approach allows for a more anatomical repositioning of deeper structures, creating results that are both natural in appearance and long lasting.

1 Month Post-Op: Rhinoplasty

This patient came to us seeking a subtle refinement to her already well balanced nose, with the goal of improving overall proportions and softening nostril flare when smiling.

At one month post operative, she is still early in the healing process, with residual swelling present. Even so, early changes can be appreciated with improved balance, refinement in size, and a softer overall appearance.

In addition to rhinoplasty, an alar base reduction was performed to further refine nostril width and enhance balance. Incision lines from the alar base will continue to improve over time, with full maturation expected around the one year mark.

Through careful planning and precise surgical technique, the foundation has been set for a natural, refined result that will continue to evolve as healing progresses.
