Kirby shares how growing up in rural North Alabama inspired his desire to give back. Although his family did not have much materially, they had an abundance of love. He explains that the blessings he and his law firm have received have made him even more grateful for opportunities to help other families.
With assistance from his son Hunter, a moving company crew, and a delivery truck, Kirby made plans to purchase, load, and deliver the final two boatloads of toys.

What can you do when a warranty company repeatedly repairs a defective appliance but refuses to replace it?
On WDRC’s legal call-in show Law Call, attorney Ken Riley responds to Laura from Birmingham, whose refrigerator has experienced the same recurring problem since shortly after she purchased it. Despite multiple service calls and a technician reportedly determining that the refrigerator could not be repaired, the warranty provider has declined to replace it.
Ken explains why hiring an attorney may not be practical when legal fees could exceed the appliance’s value, particularly when the warranty contains fine print or an arbitration agreement. Instead, he recommends documenting every service visit and communication, following up consistently, and continuing to press the warranty provider before too much time passes.

Is a driver automatically at fault for an accident simply because they were under the influence?
On WDRC’s legal call-in show Law Call, attorney Ken Riley responds to an email from Kylie, who was injured in an accident involving an intoxicated driver and wants to know how that could affect fault and her insurance claim.
Ken explains that intoxication alone does not automatically make a driver responsible for causing a collision. Although an impaired driver may face criminal consequences, civil liability still depends on whose negligent actions caused the accident.
He also discusses underinsured motorist coverage, commonly called UIM coverage, and why drivers should consider matching their UIM limits to their liability limits. This coverage can help protect you and your family when an at-fault driver does not have enough insurance to cover your injuries and medical expenses.
