Barras Custom Rods

First BFS build. Bait Finesse (Google it) first started in Japan and has since made it to the US and is currently growing in the Bass fishing scene. Though it is very niche style of fishing, I do see a couple applications where it can be used in the inshore saltwater world, mainly fishing dock lights. This rod is built on a Rainshadow; 6’4 LIGHT Mod-Fast blank, custom 7” full cork rear grip, split reel seat and stainless Fuji guides.

Old school style, with all modern components. 6’9” Medium/Light Fast, USA made carbon fiber blank. Full 8” carbon fiber rear grip, Fuji Deluxe ECSM reel seat, 1.5” carbon fiber fore grip, Fuji Titanium SiC guides spiral wrapped to the tip. This rod despite having full length grips is still lighter in weight than 99% of high end factory built rods you’ll find in tackle shops, coming in just over 3.2 ounces.

Another tripletail rod for . This one is a 7’4 Medium/Heavy Moderate-Fast. Premium cork grips, all components, the new MC SiC guides wrapped in black and gold. A true “meat stick” for when you need to pull a big fish off the structure.

Always tinkering… This particular build is 6’3 Medium Fast. High Mod USA rolled blank, carbon grip, Fuji ECSM deluxe seat and Ti SiC guides wrapped in metallic black and silver.
