We love our Swanky Roots and always prefer their lettuce, but through these last few months, we have supported them how we can while they work through their production issues. Once production returns to rates that can support wholesale purchasing, we will be return to offering their amazing produce on our menu.
We love our local growers and suppliers and choose to shop local as often as possible. We hope you will join us in being kind and patient with our amazing, hardworking local businesses. They make Billings a vibrant community. We are lucky to share this space with them.

The past three months have been the hardest months we have had to go through as a company. We had our lettuce growth and production come to an almost complete stop.

We are so grateful for those who have been supporting us in this time! We have fought our way through and we are finally seeing some light at the end of this tunnel.
We understand that our changing hours and limited products over the past months have been hard and confusing for our customers - trust us, they have not been easy on us either. HOWEVER. We are doing our best to keep our website, google listing, yelp listing, facebook, answering machines, etc...up to date with our hours and products. So PLEASE don't get mad at us if you drive out here without checking first and we are closed.
We limited our hours because we were selling out of the little product we did have every day. We didn't want people driving out here for no lettuce. (Shoutout to our amazing customers who can't get enough of what we have been growing! )
I know for every 1 rude customer, we have 50 + amazing customers. At the end of the day, those rude customers really stick in our minds. We are working our butts off here and we really want to serve our community the best we can.
In a world full of uncertainties the easiest thing we can do is to be kind to one another. It seems like it should go without saying but please remember it costs nothing to be kind.
We are excited to see things growing in the right direction in the greenhouse. Please be patience with us a little while longer and before you know it we will have full shelves of lettuce again! Please don't hesitate to call or you can always sign up for our text messages or email list to stay up to date.

We've missed you!
We took an extended break to help serve our community and focus on catering over the holidays. We are resuming delivery and pickup options, but limiting the times and days as we focus more on catering and growing our non-profit, Eat.Share.Give.
We will be expanding our menu in the coming weeks with new and exciting menu options. Let us fill your bellies and feed your next event!

We would love for you to help us as we again address food insecurity in our own community.
As many of you know, we originally pivoted our business mid March of 2020 to feed kids right in their homes. From March 2020 until August 2020 when school resumed, we delivered 21,842 fresh lunches directly to kids right here in Yellowstone County.
Last December, we fed families full dinners for the two weeks that most kiddos are out of school. We provided 1,075 ready to eat family dinners.
In May and June, we averaged about 55 prepared meals a day Monday - Saturday for our unhoused community members when they were no longer able to receive consistent meals elsewhere.
This isnโt just a community effort. It is truly our mission as a company that prepares food. We believe that ALL people should have access to thoughtfully prepared and delicious meals regardless of ability to pay.
We will continue to do this work and support our friends, neighbors, brothers and sisters.
We hope you will join us in this effort.
While we shift our operations for the next few weeks, we will still accommodate your catering requests. Please donโt hesitate to ask if you have a need and also donโt hesitate to help if you can.
We are all still in this togetherโฆthis crazy, beautiful, scary, sad, lonely, wonderful, loving thing we call life.

This week is all about celebrating the lives of our loved ones who have passed.
In my family, every year, we put up an ofrenda. An alter with candles and photos and offerings to our deceased loved ones.
We invite them to return to visit us. For as long as they are remembered, they live.
This week is an especially meaningful rememberance for me. My nephew, the first child I unconditionally loved, passed away last Monday. Douglas was a light in my life and I will be lighting candles as I invite him to visit during Dias de los Mu***os.
This week we are featuring a salad that is prepared annually in Guatemala as families gather to welcome their loved ones to return and be present during these days when the veil of death has lifted.
I invite you to order this week and remember the lives of those you have lost, light a candle, look at their photo, and feel their presence. This is a communion of sorts. A time for our communities to come together and break bread and be close to our ancestors and your God or spirit of love.

All you shrimp and pumpkin lovers, raise your hand! This week's special is Spooktacular!
We've roasted the pumpkin and its seeds to perfection, cooked up some delicious shrimp, procured olive oil and balsamic vinegar from Spiked Olive and paired it all with smoked Gouda and fresh spinach. Yum!
