The City of Billings MET Addition establishes a clear civic presence for public transit through a language of transparency and contemporary materials. The addition redefines the building entry as an open, legible threshold; enhancing visibility, reinforcing wayfinding, and creating a more welcoming public interface. Carefully integrated with the existing facility, the addition elevates both function and identity while expressing the building’s civic role with clarity and intent.

Big things are happening at the Billings Logan International Airport! ✈️

Airport officials recently announced their $110M capital improvement plan with major ticketing, terminal, and parking upgrades planned over the next five years.

We’re excited to be part of the leadership team supporting this effort alongside BIL and Morrison Maierle.

Collaborative Design Architects is proud to be recognized by the Yellowstone Ice Foundation as a Gold Level sponsor for the new Signal Peak Energy Arena at the Amend Recreation Campus. This commitment represents the most significant private donation our firm has ever made, and it comes straight from the heart of our vision for Billings’ future.

In 2024, our team developed the concept for a public–private sports campus as a way to provide our community with a unique alternative to a tax-funded recreation center. We believed in this idea so strongly that we invested in it ourselves, and we’re thrilled to see it moving forward.

Our hope is that Billings will not only become a hub for Montana sports but also serve as a model for privately-funded recreation campuses across the region.

The Signal Peak Energy Ice Arena will be a game-changer for ice sports in Montana, supporting youth programs, competitive hockey, curling, figure skating, and family recreation for generations to come. We’re honored to play a part in making it a reality.

In partnership with the Yellowstone Ice Foundation and KE Construction, Collaborative Design is proud to see the first building of our Amend Recreation Campus vision rising out of the ground.

This facility will be a true game changer for ice sports in our community, bringing new opportunities, energy, and excitement to Billings.

Where stone meets wood and light defines every edge, this home balances quiet power with bold geometry. Every line is intentional, every material chosen for permanence and presence. Designed to sit confidently within the Montana landscape, this Billings home continues to reveal new layers of design that speak to strength, clarity, and modern Western living.
