We feel like we’ve reached the point where we should probably acknowledge something that has become a regular feature in the comments on the Reno Club page.
There is one person who seems deeply committed to pointing out every time we use AI in a post. And honestly, with AI being used billions of times every day across search, social media, photo editing, customer service, design, and just about everything else, we’re fairly confident we are not exactly pioneering forbidden technology over here.
What makes the ongoing criticism especially entertaining is that this same person has made it very clear that they are against AI, while regularly posting photos using Snapchat filters and lenses.
Which is interesting, because Snapchat itself openly uses AI, including AI-powered lenses, generative AI features, photo tools, and its My AI system.
So apparently the official position is:
AI for a Reno Club Facebook post: unacceptable.
AI when it makes your selfie look better: perfectly reasonable.
We just wanted to make sure we understood the rules. 😏
In the meantime, we’ll continue using the tools available to us to create posts, promote events, entertain our customers, and keep people informed about what’s happening at the Reno Club.
CJ, we just want to give you the attention that you've been seeking by criticizing a lot of our posts. We sincerely and genuinely hope that this makes you happy, dude. 😗
And, of course, we appreciate the engagement. The algorithm does too.

30 years ago. Harvard had a capstone project decoding: "Yellow ledbetter" where students were given a live 1994 concert bootleg and asked to transcribe it. (Spoiler: Everyone fails). Which makes perfect sense - Pearl jam is Nanette's favorite band 🤷
