The Big Spring Symphony Orchestra in an incredible history making collaboration with LA 45 and the legendary Sunny Ozuna delivered a spectacular performance last Saturday, April 24 with “Let Freedom Ring”! This concert celebrated America’s 250th Birthday with inspiring Patriotic favorites and an incredible performance by the legendary Sunny Ozuna and LA 45 with Big Spring native John Ontiveros performing with The Big Spring Symphony for the very first time. We are thankful for the many fans that came and also for the huge group of students that experienced Tejano Music for the very first time. We will have more to say as we shout out our sponsors, workers and have a special post about our Friends of the Symphony Program.

We appreciate you showing the love and covering our incredible season closer last weekend. We have been a little busy getting ready for the new season and haven’t had a chance to get our pics and thank yous up yet. Stay tuned because they are coming!

A moment we’ll never forget.

Sharing the stage with Sunny Ozuna and the Big Spring Symphony Orchestra was more than a performance—it was a cultural milestone. Bringing Tejano music into a symphonic setting is something not every band gets the opportunity to do, and we carry that responsibility with pride.

This was about honoring where we come from and showing just how powerful our music can be on any stage.

Muchísimas gracias to the entire Symphony, and a special thank you to Dr. Rocha for the vision, trust, and collaboration. And to every single person behind the scenes who made this night possible—we see you and we appreciate you.

We hope this is just the beginning… maybe we’ll be bringing this experience to a city near you someday—even decades from now.

Tejano music belongs everywhere. And this was proof.

The Big Spring Symphony wishes to welcome their newest group of Volunteers! Your students did a fantastic job and it is a joy to have them volunteer with us and we are also excited that they got to be a part of this fantastic show that emphasized both America and our Tejano Heritage as well. We do hope they will join us again.

Come on down and have the greatest night ever with Sunny Ozuna, John Ontiveros, and LA 45 and the Big Spring Symphony Orchestra! We have tickets available in all categories.

* Doors Open: 4:00 PM (North Entrance Only)
* Security: All will pass through security screening. Clear bags are encouraged to expedite entry.
* Accessibility: Guests requiring special assistance are encouraged to arrive early.
* Alcohol Policy: Alcohol is not permitted on campus.
* Refreshments: The Symphony Guild will offer bottled water for any donation throughout the event, both at the entrance and on the floor. Water is generously sponsored by Culligan of Big Spring, with proceeds benefiting the Guild’s scholarship program.
Parking Information:
* ℹ️ General parking will be available in the East Parking Lot.
* The North Parking Lot will be reserved exclusively for handicap parking.
* The West Parking Lot will be reserved for Symphony staff and musicians.
* Parking will be supervised by the Citizen’s Police Academy—VIPS.
