Pack 4 Beverly

Our PACK 4 Lion Den meeting had an Olympic theme which included an obstacle course, time-tracking for individual Lions and the Den as a whole.
All lions also learned the basics of Compasses, Fahrenheit, and Celsius. We ended the meeting with some fishing.

It was a fun and beneficial den meeting for sure!

One of our most favorite events in the cubscouting year has to be our Pinewood Derby! All pinecars that entered the derby were so cool, creative, and special. Great Job Pack 4 scouts and families and kudos to our Webelos O*** K***** for winning King of the Track!

Our Lion Scouts knocked out three adventures tonight with teamwork, strategy, and healthy choices:
• Fun on the Run: Balloon “keep it up” challenge — we learned balloons stay up longer as a team rather than solo. Practiced counting by keeping the balloons in the air after nearly 90 balloon touches.
• Ready, Set, Grow: We talked winter growing and took home mini greenhouse kits to grow plants and practice responsibility.
• Mountain Lion: Played a healthy vs. not-so-healthy food activity— and the kids were surprisingly good at spotting the healthier picks.

Beverly scouts from Pack 4 and Troop 4 spent a joyous early evening with seniors at The Current Beverly, enjoying cookies, decorating gingerbread houses, and participating in musical festivities.

We look forward to keeping this annual tradition!

Our Arrow of Light and Webelos Dens had a great evening at Beverly City Hall, earning their Citizenship Adventure.

Thank you to Kathleen Feldman for the invitation, the informative overview, and for thoughtfully answering all of our Scouts’ questions!

The Scouts also had a unique opportunity to observe city government in action, as City Council and Mayor Cahill recognized and sent off Councilors-at-Large Brendan Sweeney and Hannah Bowen for their many years of outstanding service to our community.
