Almost perfect reflections in the very calm Charles river on the first day of May!

Growing from the waters of Lake Wānaka, this lone willow has quietly become one of the most photographed trees in the world. Known as the “That Wānaka Tree,” it is patiently posing for every photographer who makes the pilgrimage to this small corner of New Zealand. And if you get lucky, you might just see a fiery sunset like that!

It is tough to uniquely photograph anything that has been photographed for centuries by many great photographers. I don't think this is a unique perspective, but at least it is somewhat unusual. I went for a very wide long exposure shot using passing clouds and wind to create visual movement in the sky. I like to think it came out pretty good -)
