Ok. PSA.
BROADWAY KARAOKE in Beverly. 🤩🤩 🎭 🎶 🎙️
I had a STUPID amount of fun last night at the Studio outing with members of Kim Lamoureux Voice Studio to Off Cabot for their monthly Broadway Bar (videos forthcoming).
It’s the first Monday of every month at 7 PM.
Seriously get yourself there, you won’t regret it.
For my sixth congressional district peeps: The complete video of this afternoon's debate, right here. http://lynnhappens.com/?p=6142
Changes! 1. Changed the menu for easier navigation. 2. Reduced the amount of blog entries loading on the main page for faster load times. 3. To make up for more sites dropping off the page from infrequent posting, "The complete blog list" page has been added. There are 47 on the list!
This goes without saying, but you can say anything in the Say Anything Box. It functions just like a live chat. Post as a guest, or register (bottom right of page) to claim a user name.
Welcome! You can now register a user name on http://northshorevoices.com. The login/register control panel is in the lower-right.
Why would you want to?
1. Protect your user name in the "SAY ANYTHING BOX."
2. It may come in handy for future additions to the site.
38 blogs have been restored in the feed, and I have a feeling that's not all of them!
Good Morning! There have been some problems with the blog feed on the site. The author of this "RSS" feature issued an update, which for me anyway, caused more harm than good, and dropped a few sites while jumbling others together. Somehow, it scrambled the data. I'm working on it. If you don't see your site there, or some info is missing from its listing - like a headline without a source, that is why.
As the site becomes a local media geekdom, I've added an access tv web site list. Keeping in mind that some are regional, and some don't have an online presence besides a contact person on a town's website, are there any glaring omissions? Essex County only, please.
Slow load times may be due to the RSS plugin that gathers all the latest blog posts. I'll be looking for a better-made one that does the same, but I chose the current one because its output is very clean. Others are poorly designed from as aesthetic standpoint.
I have a "trouble ticket" with my hosting company for northshorevoices.com right now. It should load a lot faster, even with all the widgets. For now, please be patient. :)
I couldn't integrate FB quite the way I wanted, so I added my own comment/chat box. It's just an experiment, or another toy to play with: http://northshorevoices.com
Think of NSV as an app rather than a web site. It's a place to see the latest blog posts and an active twitter stream from the region, and where North Shore content from citizen journalists and professionals alike can be accessed. Also, the layout is not static. Boxes and columns will move as necessary to accommodate new widgets and features, or for breaking news events. Stay tuned.
