Reliable energy is reliable care.

Meet Matt Asher, Renewable Energy Project Manager at Build Health International.

His journey began in rural Sierra Leone, where he saw how inconsistent electricity can disrupt every part of care. That experience now drives his work designing long-term energy systems that keep hospitals running when it matters most.

Read the full spotlight to see how solar power, local partnership, and long-term thinking are transforming healthcare delivery.

Insta360's ONE RS is the ideal tool for detailed construction site inspections. The camera integrates with DroneDeploy software, stitching images together to navigate three-dimensional environments.

In Sierra Leone, with DroneDeploy Ground, Insta360 cameras have allowed BHI project managers to virtually manage construction activities by identifying and troubleshooting needs, document as-built conditions of HVAC and medical gas infrastructure, and redesign stormwater management systems with team members based across three continents.

Stay tuned for more updates!

As news intensifies surrounding the recent Ebola outbreak in the DRC and Uganda, our hearts and solidarity are with the frontline healthcare workers and communities working to contain the virus.

Managing an epidemic requires more than a temporary emergency response; it requires permanent, dignified infrastructure driven by local scientific leadership.

Through our partnership with Institute of Genomics and Global Health (formerly ACEGID), BHI delivered an expanded, state-of-the-art research center campus at Redeemer's University in Ede, Nigeria that pairs cutting-edge engineering with local expertise. The current outbreak highlights the critical importance of why the work of organizations like IGH on the continent are so important. Together, we are ensuring that Africa’s scientists have the structural tools they need to track, monitor, and contain deadly pathogens.

Thank you to the supporters who gave to BHI's Haiti Healthcare Repair Fund to make this project possible!

On , we celebrate the strength and dedication of our Haitian team and partners who continue advancing healthcare and supporting communities across Haiti.

One project we're particularly excited about: a recently renovated residence for medical residents and essential hospital staff. BHI provided electrical upgrades and waterproofing to kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry facilities.

Each detail supports dignified housing for those who serve their community every day.
