We work primarily by appointment but welcome walk-ins - call us to see if an artist is available the day you'd like to be tattooed! We offer FREE CONSULTS with the artist of your choosing, after viewing their portfolios. We have/use flash but if you would like to bring something in - you're more than welcome and we're also happy to help you research a specific type of design. We specialize in creating one-of-a-kind, custom pieces of art for the individual. Nothing is "too big" or "too small". We don't quote prices on the phone or online - it's best to come in & speak with an artist directly. We believe that if you're serious about wanting to be tattooed we can work within your budget to make it happen. We also offer "tattoo accounts" to make this possible. PLEASE ASK ABOUT THEM! We accept cash, Apple Pay, AMEX, Mastercard, Visa & Discover. NO PERSONAL CHECKS. The studio & all of the artists are fully licensed by the City of Beverly Board of Health & certified in CPR, First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens, OSHA Cross Contamination Prevention & Basic Anatomy & Physiology of the Skin administered by the Commonwealth of MA. We use high quality equipment specifically manufactured for body art and hospital grade autoclave sterilization. We are registered to & spore test our autoclave bi-monthly and log all of our results. All equipment is single-use & disposable & set-up in front of the client. You must be 18 years old, or older & must have a valid, legally issued, photo ID to be tattooed. PERIOD. There is NO such thing as "parental consent" in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. No ID = NO TATTOO = NO EXCEPTIONS. We do *NOT* do body piercing.

Today, you’ll sometimes hear that Witches Woods got its name because families fled there during the witch trials of 1692 to escape persecution, although there’s no evidence to substantiate that story.

In the 1800s, a different explanation was given for the name. Witches Woods came with a warning: stay on the path known as Witch’s Lane. If you were tempted by a flower or berry and wandered from the path, you might become hopelessly lost... or perhaps stumble upon the haunted homestead or the witch’s farm.

In 1841, a young woman named Caroline Howard King was walking through Witches Woods with her cousin Nony and her maid Lucy Anne. After following Witch’s Lane through tall pines and hemlocks for about half an hour, they stopped for a picnic in a hemlock grove.

When they were ready to leave, they couldn’t find Witch’s Lane.

The farther they searched, the deeper into the woods they seemed to go. They could hear the waves crashing nearby, but somehow they always found themselves circling back to the same hemlock grove until they found what many people spoke of in whispers: the witch's homestead.

Hear the rest of Caroline’s story, and more tales of Beverly witchcraft, folklore, and magic, at Bewitched at Balch.

Hello everyone this is Loki, owner of both Salem Ink and Good Mojo Tattoo. Currently I’m only working at Mojo on Sundays until after Halloween because Salem is so busy this time of year. However, during the short time I’m in Beverly I have some flash deals on Sundays for the rest of Sep and then starting back up in November. If anyone is interested in that one day of the week that I am there, reach out. Small adjustments can be made. Normally I start my minimum between $150 to $200. However, the images posted are going for a flat $100. Most are around 2x2 to 3x3 inches give or take. There is a little wiggle room there. They are line work and black and grey shading only. Unless you want to exceed the $100 price deal it’s negotiable for sure to add color. I’m running this first come first served so if interested I would pop in early and sign up. Last week the list filled very fast. So, best to be there around noon when we open. I’ll get to as many people as I can. If I run out of time, we can totally book you an appointment for a later date. Or if you want something much larger and custom we can do a consultation and book that for Beverly or Salem.
