It's official. After three and a half wonderful years, 17 Cox has closed. It's been a wild ride and we've loved every minute of it. We are so grateful to all our artists, staff, and of course, our community for making this endeavor unbelievably successful. None of this would have been possible without each and every one of you.

Big thanks to the artists, curators, audience, staff and all the volunteers we've had over the years. We will never be able to fully express our gratitude. Your unwavering support and enthusiasm made 17 Cox possible.

Warm regards,
Lucas Spivey and Elizabeth Woodward

BEVERLY ARTS DISTRICT 05/22/2014

It's not bad. It's B.A.D.

BEVERLY ARTS DISTRICT We've been planning for the Arts District for over a year and this summer, you're going to see it come to life. We believe that celebrating art and culture in all their forms can help you attract new customers, and help us appeal to new business owners, be the reason why people move here, and be what makes us a "must see" stop on a tourist's visit.

Good stuff from back in the day! Congrats to Floor van de Velde for winning the Arlene Schnitzer Prize!

We continue our student art award spotlights with graduate student Floor van de Velde, who won third place in the Harold and Arlene Schnitzer Prize in the Visual Arts.

Her recent show "Score for a Color Field" included installations that confounded the viewer's sense of perception and depth of field through the use of light, sound, color and simple mechanics.
