Monday, it was all hands on deck to prepare for our Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Waynesborough Country Club. We all pitched in with our collective talents to take care of every detail and had a fantastic day. From registration to the silent auction to dinner, everyone who participated enjoyed the day of comraderie and beautiful weather. The money raised will benefit local charitable organizations.

This morning, we hosted Kate Hylan, Director of Development at Open Hearth, as our guest speaker. Open Hearth is a distinguished local nonprofit organization that performs exceptional work across Chester County and western Montgomery County. Their mission is to empower individuals and families to attain housing stability, financial independence, and access to essential resources.

During this morning's weekly meeting, Stacey Ballard was presented with the 2024-2025 Honeycomb Award by former District Governor Francy Cross, in recognition of her significant contributions to club and community outreach initiatives. We deeply appreciate Stacey's dedication and achievements in serving the community. Thank you, Stacey, for your exceptional service.

Last week, our Rotary Club was delighted to attend Ann's Heart 'Heart and Soul' event. The evening featured exceptional music, exquisite cuisine, great fun and camaraderie.

Today, our Rotary Club and Conestoga Interact students participated in a Service Day at Phoenixville Area Community Services. We dedicated the morning to relocating furniture, assembling after-school snack bags for students, and organizing Girl Scout cookies.

This morning, we had the pleasure of hosting Gwen Donahue, the Engagement & Giving Manager from Trellis for Tomorrow.

Trellis for Tomorrow has been a valued partner of our Rotary club, collaborating on various initiatives including the establishment and harvesting of local gardens. Gwen provided an insightful overview of their current programs, which not only focus on cultivating food for underserved communities through over 30 community gardens but also foster the development of local youth through workplace readiness, horticultural experience, and leadership training.
