Today was an OHPACS Garden service day for our club. The OHPACS Garden, created by the Trellis for Tomorrow organization, is the collaboration of Open Hearth and PACS, providing fresh vegetables to the Phoenixville community and to the PACS Market. This morning we harvested peppers, tomatoes, collard greens, kale, and eggplant. As a bonus, Sutanu received his official certificate of Rotary membership. The weather cooperated, and it turned out to be a very pleasant and productive morning. If you weren't there, you missed a great time.

This evening, several members and friends of our Rotary club returned to in Phoenixville to support their community-focused art initiatives. We participated in a bowl-painting session in preparation for the , or PACS, "Empty Bowls" 20th Anniversary event scheduled for October 22, which highlights the ongoing issue of local food insecurity. The studio will glaze and fire our pieces in time for the fundraiser, which benefits the PACS food pantry. We enjoyed the opportunity to collaborate on this initiative while fostering fellowship over dinner.

This week, we enjoyed hosting Scott Fisher, Executive Director and CEO, and Susan Ethridge, Donor Engagement Manager, from the Historic Bryn Mawr Film Institute. During their visit, our members gained valuable insights into various filmmaking techniques, the different types of film utilized, and the projection equipment required for each film format. Specificly, we learned about the 70mm film, The Odyssey, and the projection techniques for this style film. Celebrating its Centennial this year, the Historic Bryn Mawr Film Institute operates as a non-profit, community-supported cinema and film education center, specializing in the exhibition of independent and foreign films.
This August, we acknowledge the birthdays of Tim, MaryAnn, and Jim H. Additionally, we commemorate the membership anniversaries of Mary and Jim T.
We extend our gratitude to all for your continued dedication to Rotary.
