We had a relaxing afternoon at Alameda beach, with wonderful WingChun people and delicious meals under the sunshine. It’s a bit windy, although sand was heated at perfectly warm temperatures and so comfortable, leading me into nap multiple times. 😆

WingChun New Year Sushi Party! -February 17, 2024
We celebrated a new year with DIY hand-roll sushi after the Saturday class. Ingredients are so fresh and delicious, sushi rice, bamboo rice, miso soup, tuna, eggs, avocados, cucumber and more. My favorite was salmon belly and salmon eggs; tasted like an art in my mouth.

Our Story
WingChun techniques are deliverable regardless your body size or quantity of muscle. We are the diverse and awesome community who loves and enjoys to practice the art and science of self-defense, WingChun.
The majority of modern martial arts were converted to sports. Especially in these combat sports, techniques have been intentionally re-designed to be less efficient and less dangerous to avoid severe injuries while people are competing. The training methodology is to win competitions within the given rules. In those styles, they mainly practice techniques to get points. So the training is rather limited to “fit into the style”, rather than being applicable as self-defense or combat.
WingChun refines your mind and body. Life requires fast decision-making everywhere under uncertainty and pressure. Knowledge helps to some extent, but WingChun teaches careful observation and precise perception of reality as well as trust in our intuition and guts to act based on our experience.
Per action, WingChun creates the habit to work relentlessly towards our goals. In effect, we can become more real, fearless, passionate and ambitious. It leads us to live strong and free, full of energy and joy. The true fun of life is this continuous progress to realize how far out we can reach our potential.
