✨ARTIST SPOTLIGHT✨
Janet Richardson, artist, environmentalist & landscape designer
My work celebrates California’s biodiversity, with a focus on pollinators found in the Bay Area. Born and raised in Berkeley, I’ve always felt a connection to the plants and animals here that have coevolved for millions of years. It’s my hope that my art will bring awareness and appreciation of these pollinators, the plant relationships that support their life cycles. I draw all of my art by hand, and then bring it into the Procreate drawing app. I never use Al in any of my work.
Each print is $65 and has been printed locally at East Bay Giclée.

✨ARTIST SHOWCASE ALERT✨
Owls started showing up in my murals in 2020 as a need to share joy and beauty during difficult times. The joy I saw in people’s faces when experiencing these quirky feathered creatures, led me to create smaller, one-of-a-kind Owls for people to have in their homes.
Owl/Búhos bring together bits and pieces of local newspapers and patterns of color to create a new reality – one full of love, healing and hope… one much needed in today’s world.
BIO:
Named after her maternal grandmother, ELLA NOE (she/her) is a Latinx Eastern European Jewish Visual Artist based in San Francisco. Born to Romanian parents she was raised all over South America and after moving from country to country her first half of her life, landed in San Francisco in 2003 and made it her home.
Ella has been involved with Art her whole life, either as an Artist, an Art teacher or working and volunteering for Art and Human Rights organizations. As an Artist she first connected to the world through dance, storytelling, acting and poetry, and later, through the Visual Arts (painting, drawing, photography and collaging). In San Francisco Ella started collaborating with Artists from other media; dancers, musicians and story tellers; and through painting and dialogue explored all that connects us in our Arts and our search for meaning
