Our project director, Raffi Dadaian, with some of the Going Forward Youth Center children in Gyumri. We were able to supply 300 school-kids with toothbrushes and toothpastes while teaching them about how to brush and protect their tooth enamel from decay.

Along with oral hygiene tools, The Paros Foundation, teamed up with Heros Foundation, distributed backpacks and school supplies!

Recent surveys carried out by graduate students of the American University of Armenia have documented that:

The average five-year-old Armenia child has eight decayed, missing or filled primary teeth

Between the ages of 14 and 17 years old, the average child continues to experience dental decay at the rate of one permanent tooth per year

Almost 90% of all 12-year-old children have cavities

Only 20% of Armenia 18-year-olds still have all of their teeth

This illustrates the severe levels of disease in this young population, and is more than double that of children in many other countries.

The Adaam Project is excited to announce that the 3rd annual campaign to spread smiles across Armenia will begin July 1st!

This year our expanded team has collected over 6000 toothbrushes and pastes, follow us as we advocate the importance of oral health in villages.
