OWI was formally founded in order to make official, many years of non profit work in health, education and disaster relief in the Philippines and Cambodia. We have built and continue to help build communities where the men are productive bread winners; the women have rising levels of literacy; and the children have a promising future.

Catanauan, a municipality in Quezon province, Philippines, population approximately 76,250 according to the 2024 census, is a beautiful coastal community. Due to the monsoon season and El Niño the fishermen who rely on fishing for their family’s sustenance, are food challenged. We are trying to raise $800.00 to buy rice for each household for approximately 170 fishermen families. This community had been a beneficiary of a schools feeding program, schools repair for the last few years.
Your generous tax deductible donation of $25.00/family will be greatly appreciated. Pls click on the website to donate and memo your donation “Catanauan Fishermen Hunger Program”.

Literacy in Education is crucial to the development of a country and preparing the youth to become leaders of the future who have the ability to communicate on relevant issues that impact the lifestyle, social and economic development of communities is the most important legacy of the older generation.
