Fixed the van just enough to get me to the beach 😂 Been a pain in my butt lately! Here’s a quick “Long Time Gone” on banjo 🤙

Went down to the SF marina where I used to keep my Santana 22 sailboat and almost all of the docks were gone. Up and disappeared to make more room for updated slips for most expensive boats. When I used to tell people that I had a sailboat in San Francisco you’d see eyes go wide and I could tell they were often thinking about how a musician made that work. Truth is, i was drinking with .kid one night and the boat just about fell into our laps. $1000 later and I had weaseled my way into partial ownership. Ca-Ching baby. Gone are the days now, but damn those were some fun trips. We kinda knew what we were doing, and I’m glad we recorded this video back then.

I am very grateful for these guys for pulling me into the world of Irish music. We’ve had a couple of amazing tours already and lots of exciting things in store. This is our song “Rose” that was written by Lorenzo. Happy St Patrick’s Day.

It still blows my mind after all of these years when I stumbled into a new tuning on any instrument. Muscle memory kicks in and you just end up in new places so quickly. I’ve been feeling kinda bad all week and figured I’d try something new. Bam. There ya go. Muscle memory kicks in and you just end up in new places so quickly. Found this pocket about an hour ago and it was perfect. Nothings precious and you can’t get to all the places that you want to go without messing up along the way. Don’t hide behind walls and don’t let anyone tell you that you have to create something a certain way. Follow your ears. Follow your voice. Relish. That’s all. Happy Sunday ✌️
