Today, UAW academic workers are rallying at University of California, San Diego in support of two Postdoctoral Researchers who have suffered under a pattern of abuse that has gone unchecked—and are demanding accountability from

UC San Diego refuses to take action while one of their Professors subjects employees to continual belittlement and harassment, and forces them to work excessive hours.

UC Academic Workers recently won industry standard-setting parental leave policies and protections against workplace bullying, but the UC San Diego administration is choosing to let inequitable situations continue instead of implementing the new contractual rights.

There is a documented pattern of Postdocs in this lab facing abusive conduct and excessive work. We are demanding accountability from UCSD administrators, and concrete action to end this cycle of known abuse.
