Tomorrow I'll be selling at the ReLoved Market in Mill Valley and I'm bringing a brand new collection of handmade pieces: bags, pouches, silk jewelry, and maybe even a quilt or two, all made from beautiful upcycled materials.
There will be 30 vendors, all creating something new from something old. Come find your new favorite piece. I'd love to see you there! https://www.staceysharman.com/event-details-registration/re-loved-market

I spent this past weekend teaching at the 2026 Quilt Away retreat at Camp Newman and had such a wonderful time! The location is beautiful and I’m getting pretty addicted to having someone else provide me with fresh cut fruit for breakfast. And no cooking or dishes to do all weekend? That’s already my idea of heaven!
But then the sewing - I love how classes provide dedicated time and space for creativity, and we got 4 days of it! In my first class, students made a quilted bag and in the second, we were doing slow stitch patchwork garments. My bag students all left with finished bags - my hand stitchers will be stitching for awhile more yet, but got a great start.
Thank you to the San Francisco Quilters Guild for the fantastic weekend!
Oh! And I’m teaching a mixed level improv quilting class in the East Bay through on April 12th and there are 2 spots left. Click on the Classes link in my bio to find out more info. Hanging out with sewing people is the best!

Watching fabric dry turns out to be much more exciting than you might think.

This is probably one of my most favorite places on earth. It’s just magic.

Watching these block printers is a bit like watching the Olympics. They make it look so easy. Well, it is not. But, we had so much fun trying!

On the road from Agra to Jaipur, we stopped to visit the Chand Bagru stepwell in Abhaneri built in the 8th century to capture water. Then we stopped off for lunch at an historic hunting lodge where they are just finishing building a new stepwell.

Scenes from Agra. We visited an embroidery workshop and Al’s got to see how marble inlay is done. Both workshops have been family owned with skills passed down for many, many generations. And then, thanks to a boat from the prime minister of Croatia, we got to see some traffic.

The Taj Mahal. I grew up with a poster of this on my wall and finally got to visit. It did not disappoint.

Our first stop in Agra is to the Red Fort where we also get a glimpse of the Taj Mahal in the distance!
