I had... a little bit of a Baba Yaga obsession this semester lol

This dude was rodsbod with ct shino and douglas celadon over! I loved how gross and lumpy it got haha :) The top popped off and was honestly reattached with glaze and a tiny bit of clay i think, and i traded this with a classmate for a sweet glass blown b***y!

Biggest lesson though was weight - the leg definitely sagged in the bisque fire and the top of the tray is a lil... funky... Still such a fun piece that i loved making!

Rodsbod clay, copper red fingers, satin white on eye, dresang shino chicken foot, temoku nails. I meant to glaze the fingers differently but here we are!!!! Even when taking notes it can be easy to glaze stuff wrong 😅

I have been making other things lately, but this record of Ceramic Things i started ages ago I'd really like to complete! Especially because my heart yearns to make a mess again haha

Test tile with a function! I liked the idea of shot glasses you that could only be set down when emptied. I wrote gan bei - cheers, or "dry [your] cup" in it! It shrank down to more like half a shot and i realized later i should have written the text so it could be read when held like a shot glass... oops! But i like this fellow. Very derpy lil one :)

It feels a little silly to post test tiles for glazes i might never use again, but hey! Laney college ceramics students this is for you!

Copper red on rodsbod clay, fired at cone 10. Fall 2024 semester - maybe the red glaze issue finally got sorted since then? You can see a few dots of red here and there but by and large it fired clear with a faint green tint.
