Big win today! Our Sustainable Schools Coalition persuaded the CA Air Resources Board to include K-12 schools in its Investment Plan setting priorities for allocating its $1 billion in cap-and-trade funds for greenhouse gas reduction projects. The letters and drawings from kids helped, as well as our strong coalition of 28 organizations all aligned in showcasing how schools will help achieve our climate goals through tree planting, asphalt removal, recycling and composting, energy and water conservation, transit, solar, and more.
