A couple weeks ago on APEX Express, we shared an episode from Convergence Magazine's Block and Build Podcast.

We're unpacking the youth-led uprisings that toppled governments in Bangladesh (2024) and Nepal (2025). We also cover the elections that followed — and what got lost in Western media coverage along the way.

Host Cayden is joined by two US-based organizers. Sharmin Hossain is a Bangladeshi Muslim organizer from Queens, NY and Organizing Director for 18 Million Rising. Samir Shrestha belongs to the Indigenous Newari tribe of Nepal and has spent 18 years in movement work in the US.
