The Jazzschool
The Jazzschool is a community music school in Berkeley, California. Students are frequently featured in concert performances, free to the public.
The Jazzschool provides music education and performance opportunities for people of all ages and levels of ability. Consisting of the Jazzschool Adult Music Program and the Jazzschool Young Musicians Program, the Jazzschool operates year-round on a quarterly basis and offers an array of courses, ensembles, performance opportunities, and workshops to build all aspects of musicianship. Whether your student dreams of playing in a jazz combo, big band, funk ensemble, New Orleans brass band, or even a video game & anime ensemble, we'll help place them in the group where they'll learn, grow, and thrive.

We're especially grateful for his longtime friendship with the Jazzschool and for his unwavering support of jazz education—including the scholarship that proudly bears his name.

Sonoma broadcaster Dick Conte inducted into Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame Conte sits on the board of directors for KSVY Media and is a volunteer producer at KSVY Sonoma 91.3 FM where he started one year ago.
