Fall Youth Ensemble Auditions Are Open!

Applications are now open for Fall Youth Ensemble placement auditions at the Jazzschool!

Whether your student dreams of playing in a jazz combo, big band, funk ensemble, New Orleans brass band, or even a video game & anime ensemble, we'll help place them in the group where they'll learn, grow, and thrive.

Fall Ensembles Include:
Studio Band (Advanced High School Big Band)
Advanced High School Jazz Workshop
Middle & High School Jazz Combos
Future Jazz: Incorporating Electronics into a Jazz Combo
High School Funk Ensemble
High School New Orleans Brass Band
Video Game / Anime Ensemble

Auditions are for placement only and are designed to match each student with the ensemble that's the best fit.

For more than six decades, Dick has shared his deep love of jazz with listeners across the Bay Area while inspiring generations of musicians, students, and fans. We're especially grateful for his longtime friendship with the Jazzschool and for his unwavering support of jazz education—including the scholarship that proudly bears his name.

Sonoma broadcaster Dick Conte inducted into Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame Conte sits on the board of directors for KSVY Media and is a volunteer producer at KSVY Sonoma 91.3 FM where he started one year ago.
