Streets Alive
bringing art + nature to the urban landscape.
Streets Alive, an initiative of Earth Island Institute, works to promote community engagement and reclamation and improvement of public space in Berkeley & Oakland. Our current initiatives include working with local artists to install sustainability themed artwork on utility boxes downtown, planting native and drought-tolerant plants in medians, and helping fund a beautiful new mural at InkWorks Press (http://earthisland.org/mural).
