This release was special on so many fronts and the artists were a huge part of what made the release so impactful.
When we talk about DEI in the craft beer industry it’s important that we apply it to every aspect of the business. Who we source the label art from, ensuring it reflects the community that we take up space in, and that the artists feel empowered and well represented is important to us.

Thank you to these three amazing California and Bay Area based artists for putting on for their cities, representing their cultures and communities, and allowing us to share their art on our cans.

“When thinking of a concept for this label my heart kept drawing me back to the original intention behind QFF. This vision of friends and community coming together and celebrating our queerness, our similarities and even our differences. Mourning losses, being scared and vulnerable together. Laughing. Crying. Cry laughing. Laughing so hard our faces hurt. An unspoken notion of what family should be. Our Chosen Families. A group of people who have intentionally chosen to love, embrace and support each other. Chosen Families grow together. And sometimes even grow apart. We need space and boundaries to grow on our own. To fall right back together. One thing that remains true for my Chosen Family is loyalty. The ride or die types. The ones that make you feel like you’re home. This beer and label are dedicated to them.”

What do we mean by artists*? Well, just about everything! Painter, illustrator, spoken word poet, tattoo artist, photographer, muralist, doodler, sculptor, musician, and so much more.
If we can figure out how to put it on a beer label, then we will. (Artists WILL be compensated!)
