What does it actually take to make the SEC boycott work? And why are college football programs so invested in keeping Black athletes from becoming politically conscious?
Davy D sits down with author Lawrence Ross and filmmaker Byron Hurt for an honest and strategic conversation.
They break down the real leverage Black athletes hold, the intentional isolation that programs create to keep players apolitical, and why it only takes one five-star recruit to shift the entire game.

To everyone who showed up for KPFA during this spring fund drive — thank you. Truly.
The first listener-sponsored radio station in the country is still here because of people like you who believe independent, community-powered media matters. Every donation and every kind word helped carry us forward.
We didn’t quite reach our goal, and the road ahead is still challenging. So if you meant to donate, or would like to help us close the gap, our thank you gifts will remain available through the end of the month.
KPFA stands because of you. ❤️
