Capacity
Mission to help ALL reach their untapped potential through education, training, and wellness

Not every day is your day. And that’s okay. ❤️
A few weekends ago, Capacity PT Lindsey Hagen, lined up to start the Mountain Lakes 100 mile race while managing ongoing knee pain. She made it to mile 50 before making the tough decision to call it.
And sometimes, doing hard things means knowing when to stop.
Training, strength work, and physical therapy are all about keeping your systems strong and giving your body the tools to handle what you ask of it. But just as important is listening to your body when something isn’t right.
There will be other races. Other miles. Other finish lines.
The goal isn’t to push through everything at all costs. It’s to keep your body strong, stay in the game for the long haul, and know when today just isn’t the day.
From here we start to rehab and rebuild for next race season. 💪🏃♀️

Meet Nick Hagen 👋 Co-owner, physical therapist, athlete advocate, and one of the driving forces behind Capacity.
Nick has been a licensed PT since 2009 and brings an impressive background in sports medicine, strength & conditioning, and manual therapy. After earning his DPT from UCSF, he completed a sports PT residency at Howard Head Sports Medicine in Vail, followed by a traveling sports fellowship with the APTA.
He’s worked with athletes across the NBA, NFL, MLB, and US Ski Team, teaches as faculty for the Institute of Physical Art, and continues to contribute to the profession through research, teaching, and speaking.
But the reason Nick started Capacity goes beyond credentials.
He saw a gap in healthcare- where insurance and traditional models often dictate care instead of what’s actually best for the person. Capacity was created to do things differently: help people get out of pain, build strength, improve performance, and better understand their bodies.

One of our favorite Capacity patient highlights from this summer. 🏃
Back in late June, Colton took on the legendary Western States 100-Mile Endurance Run- one of the most prestigious and challenging ultramarathons in the world.
“Western States was one of my North Stars. It took a decade to get into the race through the lottery and I wanted to make it count. I ran happy and within myself all day, never letting the highs and lows that come with 100 mile races affect my execution…”
Colton finished in 16:27:45, moving up more than a dozen spots over the final 35 miles to finish 21st overall and 14th man.
His mantra for the day? “Make good memories.”
And he certainly did.
A few months later, we’re still celebrating this incredible accomplishment and the years of work, training, and preparation that went into it!
