When Bob's family noticed he hadn't urinated in over a day, had vomited, and seemed uncomfortable, they knew something was wrong. Shamus arrived at the Veterinary Referral Center of Central Oregon with a life-threatening emergency. He was diagnosed with gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV), a condition that required immediate surgery.

The team acted quickly, and Shamus pulled through. Just two weeks later, he returned for his follow-up appointment bright, energetic, and healing well. He is now back home enjoying normal activity with his family.
