There are only a few days left to comment on the Roadless Rule - Link in bio
The Roadless Rule protects over 40 million acres of National Forest Land (about 30% of all land managed by the Forest Service) by banning road construction and logging in designated areas within our National Forests.
The Roadless Rule protects ...
YOUR public lands
Clean drinking water for over 25 million people
The habitats of endangered and threatened species, a healthy & wild ecosystem
Outdoor recreation including hiking, rafting, biking, fishing, hunting, skiing and more
Beautiful Wilderness - In Central Oregon alone that includes Tumalo Mountain, the Cascade Lakes, Newberry, and more
The Outdoor Economy - Tourism is huge economic driver and job creator especially in Oregon. People travel from all over to spend time in our wild places.
Rescinding the Roadless Rule will also increase the risk of wildfires. Research shows, more roads = more wildfires.
When the Roadless Rule was passed in 2001, it was at the time, the most publicly commented upon federal ruling in US history with over 1.6 million public comments, 90+% of which were in favor of the Roadless Rule. It was and still is a truly bipartisan issue.

The Draconids Meteor Shower will grace our night skies this October. With the sun setting early and a new moon phase, the visibility for the peak of the Draconids meteor shower is expected to be excellent during our time on the water! Although the Draconids is not the most impressive of meteor showers, with an average of 5-10 meteors per hour, the skies will still be primed for a magnificent night under the stars.
The Draconids will last from Oct. 6th - 10th, peaking on Oct. 8th. The astronomical forecast indicates excellent visibility on the 8th and good visibility for the 6th, 7th & 9th.
To book, please go to our Starlight Canoe Tour page, and simply book your desired Draconids date. Link below!
