Save our favorite one-day itinerary for the perfect Portland day trip when friends or family come to visit!
PDX➡️Columbia Gorge➡️Hood River➡️ Mt Hood

1️⃣ Women’s Forum Viewpoint – a beautiful view of the Columbia Gorge with Vista House in the frame. *Note: the road that connects Womens Forum to Vista House is currently closed due to a landslide.

2️⃣ Vista House – a historic stone viewpoint perched above the Columbia River for more amazing views.

3️⃣ Multnomah Falls – Oregon’s most iconic waterfall is a must for our guests visiting for the first time.

4️⃣ Latourell Falls – a dramatic single-drop fall framed by basalt columns steps from the parking lot.

5️⃣ Horsetail Falls – right off the highway, you can feel the mist on your face.

6️⃣ Mitchell Point Tunnel – a newly rebuilt tunnel with windows framing panoramic Gorge views.

7️⃣ Mt. Hood Panorama Point – one of our favorite views of Mt Hood with the Hood River fruit valley right beneath it.

8️⃣ The Gorge White House – a charming orchard with beer, cider, wine, and flowers. It’s a lovely stop for a lunch break. Love their pear quesadillas!

9️⃣ Draper Girls Country Farm – the sweetest farmstand for fruit, cider, and homemade goodies with views of Mt Hood.

🔟 Oregon Route 35 – a stunning scenic drive through orchards and rolling hills.

1️⃣1️⃣ Trillium Lake – Mt. Hood reflecting perfectly on the water = postcard moment. Go kayaking when it’s warm!

1️⃣2️⃣ Skyway Bar & Grill – a quirky, cozy spot with live music and the best comfort food to end the day. Perfect bbq + mac n cheese!

It is certainly a day with a lot of driving but we love that it shows waterfalls and amazing views of Columbia Gorge and Mt Hood!
