Middle School Girls Wrestling

DMC has decided to move forward with a two-group structure for the 2026–27 wrestling season:

K–4th Grade
5th–8th Grade

This structure will allow us to better tailor practices and instruction to each age group while keeping things simple for families.

DMC WRESTLING REGISTRATION IS COMING SOON!

The countdown is on! We’re working behind the scenes to get everything lined up for the 2026–27 DMC wrestling season, with practices to begin the first week of October.

We have a few logistics we’re working through and trying to resolve before we release registration information, schedules, and all the details. We want to make sure we have everything in place before we open things up.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and continued support as we get things finalized!

We can’t wait to get back on the mats!

Middle School Girls Wrestling Update: There are some exciting changes potentially coming to middle school girls wrestling this season.
Based on what we are hearing, Bend-La Pine has approved a separate girls wrestling season from the boys. If everything stays on track, registration could open mid-September, with a tentative practice start date of November 2.
The tentative schedule we are hearing is:
Registration: Mid-September
Practice begins: November 2
State Qualifier: December 12
State Championships: December 19
Please keep in mind that these dates and details are still tentative and we are waiting for official confirmation.
The goal behind separating the season is to continue growing girls wrestling and create more opportunities for girls to get involved in the sport. One of the goals being discussed is having a minimum of 10 girls participating from each middle school.
That starts with getting more girls through the door and giving them an opportunity to try wrestling in an environment where they can learn, compete, build confidence, and be part of a team.
If your daughter has ever thought about wrestling, or you've wondered if wrestling might be a good fit for her, this could be a great season to give it a try. No prior wrestling experience is necessary.
More information will be shared as official details become available.
Let's continue to grow girls wrestling in Bend and Central Oregon.

DMC Coaching Interest

As we start preparing for the upcoming DMC season, we are looking for anyone who may be interested in helping coach or assist with one of our squads this year!

If you are interested, please let us know:

What grade level your wrestler is in, if applicable
Which squad/grade level you would be interested in assisting with
Any previous wrestling or coaching experience you may have

You do not need to be an experienced coach to help! We are looking for people who are willing to learn, support our wrestlers, and be a positive part of DMC.

DMC also provides things such as USA Wrestling Leader Card and registration reimbursement, team gear, and more for those who help coach and support the program.

Please message us at 760-224-4038 if you may be interested in helping this season!
