DIY solar kits sound like a deal at first.
They're not. The kit itself is only 30% of the actual cost. Oregon requires permits. Your utility requires inspections. Most DIY attempts end up hiring a licensed electrician anyway, at which point you've lost the savings and the warranty.
With National Solar?
$0 down financing. Professional install. 10 Year Install Warranty. 25-year product warranty.

Your power bill is about to hit you twice.
Families grow and so does energy use. A jump from 900 to 1200 kWh per month is totally normal. Problem is, utility rates rise 6 percent a year on average. You're chasing two rising curves at once.
$0 down. 6-week install. 25-year locked rate.

The 30% federal tax credit was real. And now itâs gone.
What weâre seeing right now is a lot of homeowners waiting. Waiting to see if it comes back. Waiting for the ârightâ program. Waiting for clarity.
But while thatâs happening, the utility bill keeps showing up every month. Full price. No protection. No control.
And rates arenât staying still as theyâve already climbed over 50% the last few years, and theyâre expected to keep going. So waiting doesnât really save money anymore. It just means youâre locking in higher costs over time.
Solar changes that right away.
The moment your system turns on, youâre producing your own power and using it in real time. Thatâs electricity you donât buy from the utility. Thatâs money that stays in your pocket. That math works whether there was a tax credit or not, because the real value is replacing a rising bill with something you control.
The tax credit was always going to phase out. It did what it was designed to do.
What hasnât changed is this:
Thereâs nothing else that actually shields you from utility rate increases like owning your own power.
So avoiding solar right now isnât really waiting for a better deal. Itâs choosing to stay fully exposed to rising costs.
Hereâs what it looks like on the ground in Oregon.
Most homeowners we work with land somewhere between $110 and $190 a month for solar. Before that, they were paying $200 to $400 a month to the utility. They start saving right away. Then they keep that advantage for the next 20 to 25 years while rates keep climbing around them.
And thatâs the real decision. Not whether a tax credit exists.
Itâs whether you want to keep buying power at whatever price they set⌠or start producing your own.
Sunny skies have filled our spring, and with summer around the corner, now is the best time to go solar. For a limited time, go solar for as little as $105 /month on approved credit with local PNW financing. Plus, save up to $5,200 off your solar install with Energy Trust of Oregon incentives for Pacific Power and PGE customers.

Some jobs donât come easy, and thatâs where our crew shines. Curved metal, tricky layout, no room for error. This one took real problem-solving on the roof and an expert installation for the property owner.
This is the kind of work most people never see, but itâs what sets us apart.
