I think I’m finally ready to enter my “Claire Beauchamp”, wild witchy woman era. Yesterday, I tested out a homemade meditation candle. It’s meant to burn for about 20-30 minutes. Well, that thing burned for SIX hours, a tiny, 4” tall candle I made from beeswax, coconut wax and rose petals. As if that wasn’t odd enough, it split the ceramic plate it was on, right down the middle. I’ve read that this represents a rebirth, a burst of stagnant energy being released and man it really feels that way these days. Of course my logical brain has a few explanations, but I’m choosing to let that brain rest for awhile - she’s been working hard for 48 years. For now, let things be magical, let things have meaning, and let life be a beautiful mystery!

Escaping 104 degree pizza oven Florence with a nice long (G’s bday) weekend in the Aosta Valley. We just arrived this evening after a very long drive, so I’m sure I’ll have more spectacular photos to share tomorrow when we try to get a view of Matterhorn.
