Ren Blooms into something new! What can I say, I collect skills like hoarders collect junk. This new life has shifted things for me so much, I’d have to write a book about it. We are on the cusp of completely restructuring our life from city dwellers to mountain homesteaders, from abundance of material to DIY, from get it fast (use it up fast) to sustainability and making things that last. In addition to learning as much as I can about homesteading and home DIY, I’m also revisiting the basics. I’ve known how to sew for a long time, but now I’m learning how to draft my own patterns and create clothing that makes me feel like ME. From flowy skirts, to light cotton blouses using vintage fabric, I’m on a sort of sabbatical - still in the creative space - but with more meaning (to me, and my family).
You’ve heard of lawyers and finance guys turned farmers, or even burnt out architects or designers turned homesteaders. But, have you ever met a fine artist turned Italian farmsteader? What an adventure lies in store for us! I hope you’ll stick with me to watch along. 😘

Here is a small sample of the floral wall rings I will be showing at my upcoming exhibition at beginning on March 20 and running for two months. All works will be for sale! And if you miss it, I can always take custom orders.
