Oh sweet summertime ☀️ You’re here!

I’ve been sitting on these for a while, and I think it took a crazy thunderstorm like last night to finally give me the push to pick some of my favs.. I just couldn’t stop thinking about them! One of my all-time favorite family shoots that puts a big ol’ smile on my face whenever I think about it. This is what it’s all about, folks 👊🏼 The adventure, the leaning into the storm, the unpredictability of life. But through it all, you have EACH OTHER. Documenting those moments of connections in this wild life is what I truly love to capture. I adore this family SO MUCH and I remember I gave them every option to postpone this shoot because it looked like it may be stormy. “Such is life” they said, and we frolicked in the rain and the wind and the sunshine and the sunset and the moonrise and we just couldn’t stop… loosing track of time and laughing in the glow of the car headlights. I love my job. Thank you Clausens for always trusting me 100% and encouraging me to be my weird self and get as creative as I want! My muses! I’d shoot through ANY storm with you! ✨

So many unique shoots and weddings coming up this summer and I am OVER THE MOON for every single one of them 🥰 Throw back to Hailey + Michael on the most perfect day in 2023 that plays in my mind from time to time… I love how my couples make their wedding days so uniquely THEIRS 👊🏼🧡✨

Went out to celebrate Nico’s bravery for performing in his school’s talent show with his buddy (they can both solve Rubik’s cubes in like 30 seconds 😱) and wandered through the Old Mill to listen to . Found a copy of the Bend Nest where I found my name under “Best Photographer for Children & Families” 🥹 WHAT?! You guys! I don’t even know when voting happened BUT I APPRECIATE Y’ALL SO MUCH! After a good little cry and the most perfect sunset, one of my sweetest clients popped out of nowhere and took our picture 🥹 I LOVE THIS TOWN. I love you all. Feeling very very grateful. Also Brandi Carlile makes me weepy 😭 I needed this tonight. Thank you, Bend! 🙏🏼

Wrapping up a few newborn shoots and ooooh my heart 🥹 People always ask when the best time for newborn pics is and the answer is complicated. If I could choose, I’d probably do around 10-14 days ish, but really I want mama to feel ready, and sometimes that’s not for over 3 weeks and that is totally fine! You can book a newborn shoot as soon as you find out you’re pregnant, all I need is a due date as a place holder in my calendar, and then just let me know as soon as baby arrives and we plan from there! 🥰 Also also, pro tip, you get a discount if you book maternity and newborn at the same time time. My favorite time for maternity pics is usually between about 32-35 weeks pregnant ✨ Reach out if you have any questions! Such an important time to document!
