Our Story

BendTECH is a community founded non-profit. We’re the first coworking space in Bend and were established in a time when it seemed impossible to work in tech or be a successful startup outside of a big Silicon-like city. This renegade spirit has allowed us to bootstrap and grow organically around what our members need to thrive in Bend.

Since the beginning we’ve been staffed primarily by volunteers, and in 2018 we created our first Executive Director position. Working as a volunteer-drive non-profit has allowed us to focus whole heartedly on the needs of our members instead of profit. It has helped us support our members growth to become who they want to be as the move out of the corporate job structure found in big metropolis cities they’ve left behind.

You’d be hard pressed to find a tech company in Bend that doesn't’ have a link back to BendTECH. We’ve seen numerous company launch from the coworking space and collaborations simply because two people were sitting next to one another.
