Today marks the end of an unforgettable season for our South Coast 9U team.
The boys battled hard through an extended tie game before UVCR was able to come out on top. While it wasn't the ending we had hoped for, that's baseball. Sometimes the game doesn't go your way, and those moments often teach the biggest lessons.
Today wasn't just about baseball. It was about learning respect, patience, resilience, and how to handle calls we don't always agree with. Our boys showed incredible character, never stopped competing, and represented South Coast with pride from the first pitch to the last.
We couldn't be more proud of every single player. Thank you to the coaches, families, and everyone who poured countless hours into helping these boys grow—not just as athletes, but as teammates and young men.
Keep your heads held high, boys. Be proud of what you accomplished. This may be the end of the season, but it's only the beginning of what's ahead. We can't wait to watch this team come back together next year.
Until then... keep working hard, keep having fun, and keep believing in yourselves.

South Coast 9U battled through two back-to-back games today! They came out strong with an 18–6 win over UVCR in Game 1, then fought hard in a close 5-6 loss in Game 2 to WVBR.
Tomorrow is a new day, and these boys will be back ready to compete for the title. Get some rest, South Coast 9U—recharge for bracket play. Bring your best, play your hearts out, and know we're all cheering for you every step of the way! 💙⚾
⚾️Tournament Update – Game 1 Win!⚾️
South Coast 9U kicked off the tournament with a huge 18–1 victory over 3 Rivers 9U!
Playing the very first game of the tournament in the peak heat of the day, both teams battled through the nerves and tough conditions. It was a great game with outstanding sportsmanship from both South Coast and 3 Rivers.
South Coast came away with the win this time, and the team is hoping to carry this momentum into tomorrow's games. One game down, plenty of baseball left to play—and the goal is still the same...
We're hoping to go all the way!
⚾ State Tournament Weekend!
The 2026 South Oregon Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth State Tournament is in Eugene this weekend!
Pool play takes place Friday and Saturday, with bracket play beginning Sunday. South Coast 9U is proud to represent the South Coast and is ready to compete.
Game Schedule

• Saturday – 12:45 PM & 3:00 PM

What a day for South Coast 9U!
The boys came ready to compete and left it all on the field, battling through three big wins to bring home the championship!
—Game 1: Defeated Lake Oswego 9U, 14-5
—Game 2: Dominated UVCR, 20-0
—Championship: Took down West Linn Green 9U in a hard-fought 9-5 victory!
Our pitching staff was outstanding all day. Kannon, Zander, Alex, and Gage were throwing absolute heat and kept our opponents on their toes.
Offensively, the bats were on fire from top to bottom of the lineup. Hit after hit, every player contributed, proving that this team is dangerous from the first batter to the last.
A special shoutout to Gage Johnson, who earned Championship MVP after an outstanding performance. Gage stepped onto the mound to close out a high-pressure championship game with confidence and composure. What a performance when it mattered most. Atta kid, Gage!
What truly makes this team special isn't just the wins—it's the energy.

After getting defeated on Thursday by West Linn Green, our South Coast 9U team showed what resilience is all about!
Today, the boys came back with lights-out pitching and bats that were absolutely on fire, earning a huge 15–3 win over NW Futures Academy!
That victory moves South Coast into the #3 seed heading into tomorrow's bracket play. First pitch is at 10:00 AM, and from here on out it's single elimination.
Let's keep the momentum rolling and make a championship run!

After a month apart representing their local All-Star teams, the South Coast 9U squad is finally back together!
For the past several weeks, these boys have gone from being teammates to competitors—playing against one another, battling it out on the field, and proudly representing their hometowns. While they may have been wearing different jerseys, they never stopped supporting one another.
Now, they're trading rivalries for teamwork once again as they're reunited for the 4th of July weekend tournament in West Linn. We can't wait to see everything they've learned over the past month come together as they take the field as one team.
As America's pastime, baseball has a way of bringing teammates, families, and communities together—and we wouldn't have it any other way. 🇺🇸⚾️

What a weekend for the South Coast 9U team! ⚾️
The boys battled their way to a 2nd place finish in the Bronze Bracket, falling to the Sammamish Spartans from Washington in the championship game, 10-5.
South Coast has plenty to celebrate after finishing as the top Oregon team in their bracket and ranking second overall among all Oregon 9U teams at the tournament.
Congratulations to the players, coaches, and families on an outstanding tournament run! 💙

South Coast 9U is headed to the Bronze Bracket Championship! ⚾️
The boys battled it out today and came away with a thrilling 6-5 win— a true nail biter! Big plays, clutch hits, and nonstop heart from this team kept the crowd on the edge of their seats until the final out.
Now it’s on to the championship game tomorrow at 2 PM! Let’s go, Coast!!
