Into the Wild is almost here! 🦁

Our annual Pine Ridge Fall FUNdraiser is Friday, October 16. Students will run, dance, climb, skip, tackle obstacles, and move their way through a morning built around one big idea: Be Wild • Be Brave • Be YOU!

2nd + 3rd: 8:00–9:00 AM
Kinder + 1st: 9:30–10:30 AM
4th + 5th: 12:00–1:00 PM

Funds raised go directly back to Pine Ridge, supporting field trips, classroom needs, our new art program, and more.

We need volunteers to help bring the FUN to life! Join us on event day to help with activities, cheer on our students, and make the day one they’ll remember. Can’t be there that day? You can still help by creating encouragement signs for a classroom!

🎨 Something new is coming to Pine Ridge!

Beginning this month, every classroom will receive a monthly art kit designed to bring art into what students are already learning, giving them new ways to explore, create + collaborate.

Each kit has been thoughtfully curated by our very own 2nd grade teacher, Jill Harrelson, and supplies are made possible through funds raised by the Pine Ridge PTA.

Now we need your help to bring it into the classrooms!

We’re looking for volunteers to help prep + assemble the monthly art kits. No art experience needed. The more hands we have helping behind the scenes, the easier it is to keep art projects prepped, organized + ready for every classroom throughout the year.

Kick off the school year with some Pine Ridge family fun! Join us for an evening of food, fun, and community at our Family Picnic!

🗓 Thursday, September 24 | 5:00–7:30 PM
📍 Pine Ridge Elementary Playground — Intermediate (Westside) Field

Come hang out with friends, family, and the Pine Ridge community! Grab dinner or a treat from El Sancho, The BOB, The Corn Dog, God of Pizza, and Kona Ice, then stick around for inflatables from Bouncing Off the Walls, music, lawn games, and our wild photo wall.

Bringing your own picnic is totally welcome, but we’d love to see you support our food vendors! If Kona Ice is on your list, bring your reusable Kollectable/Kowabunga cup if you have one.

Bring: a blanket or low chairs + any lawn games you’re willing to share.

Please leave at home: pets, kites or drones, speakers, alcohol, to***co, and anything else not permitted on school grounds.

Can’t wait to see our Pine Ridge families there!

Our annual Pine Ridge Fall FUNdraiser is back! This year we’re heading Into the Wild on Friday, October 16 with a day built around joyful movement, a little friendly Battle of the Grades, and some wildly fun prizes.

Packets went home at the end of last week with all the details, so if yours is still living at the bottom of a backpack… this is your sign to dig it out.

🐾 Why it matters: Our goal is to raise $50,000 to help fund the things that make Pine Ridge even better—art programming + supplies, field trips, classroom and PE resources, books, FAN support, the gym projector project + more.

Donations can start now, and there are plenty of ways to get involved—from donating and volunteering to sponsorships, the coin competition, and encouragement signs.

Swing by at drop-off Friday, Sept 18 for free coffee + a little PTA chat. We’ll have BottleDrop blue bags ready to grab, plus info on PTA membership, volunteering, upcoming events, and easy ways to get involved.

Welcome back, Pine Martens! 🌲 School starts TODAY!

A few reminders to make the first day + week a little easier:

• Arrival begins: 7:30 AM
• First bell: 7:40 AM
• School begins: 7:45 AM
• Dismissal: 2:15 PM
• Today is a FULL Wednesday. Early-release Wednesdays begin Sept. 16, with dismissal at 12:45 PM.
• Kindergarten: staggered start Sept. 9 + 10; all kinders together Sept. 11.
• Running late? Arriving after 7:45? Check in at the front office.
• Absent? Let the Pine Ridge office know.
• Breakfast + lunch: Free for all Bend-La Pine students.
• Bus riders: My Ride K-12 has route information + live bus location.

First-week tip: Label those water bottles, jackets + lunch boxes, confirm the after-school plan with your kiddo, and give yourself a little extra time at drop-off while everyone settles back into the routine.

As we head into summer, we want to thank our incredible students, families, teachers, and staff for an amazing school year. From classroom celebrations and community events to fundraisers and volunteer hours, this year was possible because of all of you.
