Before the bloom. Coming soon.

I have thought about the shape, seasons and bloom of Rabbitbrush for so many years. My first trip to New Mexico, all I did was take photos of Chamisa and Chrysothamnus. And yes, while their bright sea of yellow in the late summer and fall is stunning, think they’re most beautiful in winter and early spring. It’s completely exposed in it’s dormant beauty, waiting to come round again. Right before the bloom.

Last week I took my walk to on the Eastside to get my every other week lunch and Matcha, saw this handwritten sign calling for local artists. So…I mentioned to the gal at the counter…’Hi, I’m a local artist.’

And a week later, these little pieces have found a home for the next couple months. So go get your juice from the location off Dean Swift on the Eastside and take in some art! All pieces but one are available for purchase.
